With so many Black (Negro) news anchors and political talking heads (PTH) who are either hanging by a thread or walking on eggshells to protect their jobs, it can be rather challenging finding one who often speaks candidly about America’s political system and/or engages in indispensable cultural wars. Therefore, when a Black “PTH” is making headway in the media, it’s important to acknowledge them for it. In my opinion, Tara Setmayer deserves that acknowledgment. Tara is a firebrand who’s passionate about her convictions and doesn’t mind speaking truth to power regardless of the person or entity that’s on the receiving end.
Likewise, let’s face it—White men who are political talking heads often catch a lot of heat for being arrogant, obnoxious, an airhead, and/or tone-deaf toward the topics they are covering. Therefore, when I happen across a White male, especially a political talking head who’s committed to keeping the public apprised of the truth, he too ought to be acknowledged. For me, that man is Adam Weinstein. Adam doesn’t mind speaking truth to power, and lately he’s been proving it by putting the Trump administration on blast for its contradictions, mistrust, and failures around the Iran crisis.
