Half of the world’s population uses the internet for a variety of reasons. From research initiatives to entertainment, social networking, or facilitating business transactions, access to information has become almost unlimited. While the internet and social media in particular play a key role in information dissemination, the accuracy and truthfulness of web content are not always impeccable. As the editor of this blog, my approach is not to promote a self-righteous attitude but instead to try to provide as much useful and interesting content as possible without creating information overload.
Nevertheless, it’s undeniable how social media has ultimately affected the vox populi of Americans’ opinions, fostering mindsets that can either be rooted in facts or mere presumptions. Speculation arise, and constructive ambiences are not always the end result.
