Author’s heartfelt personal opinion and encouragement: It seems that for Black Americans, chattel slavery, Reconstruction, the Gilded Age, Jim Crow, and ongoing systemic racism have not been enough pain to assist in drastically changing some of our nation’s most wicked ways. Incidentally, regardless of your gender, race, and/or ethnic background, get motivated by wearing an uncommon slogan that defies the legacy and vestiges of chattel slavery, an indelible part of American history.
