Something to think about: How is the news being disseminated around us?
Your organization cannot be called a legitimate news organization if it doesn’t have the organizational fortitude, integrity, moral principles, and ethical discipline to impartially cover an adversary as it would people who were not considered enemies at all. Any absence of the attributes mentioned would be no less asinine than CNN once envisioning its network as “The Most Trusted Name in News.” Going into business and espousing to, embracing, enabling, and/or encouraging such behavior personifies a boneheaded approach to the very essence of journalism. Likewise, in terms of providing a legitimate news service to the public, the whole purpose of journalism is to (1) identify, (2) investigate, (3) inform, and (4) impact (“4-eyes approach“) the people and events about which a story ought to or has to be told.
