The intellectual properties of
“all things STUPID about the news”
(ATSATN) are up for sale.
ATSATN’s Basic Idea:
Created to be a highly disruptive social media, networking, news monitoring, and censuring idea, ATSATN will employ 12 predetermined content-gathering navigational headers that will aggregate, store, disseminate, and promote various user-generated content. The principal objective of the platform and its users will be to continuously monitor and censure the global news industry. Particularly for any idiosyncrasies it has that may be construed by the public to be disingenuous, not newsworthy, highly intrusive, questionably deceptive in nature, or perhaps fall beneath a level of professionalism that is ideally expected of any licensed news organization. However, outside of ATSATN’s principle objectives, it can and will target any content that brands, touts, or labels itself as news.
The idea’s official mottos:
1. “If the news industry has the freedom of the press to encroach upon our lives, then we should have the freedom of speech to critique and censure what it does.” | 2. “Where people go to censure the news.”
The idea’s 12 predetermined content-gathering and navigational headers:
Diversionary News | Fear Mongering News | Hilarious News | Machiavellian News | Manufactured News | Political Talk News | Puppet News | Ratings Driven Breaking News | Sensationalized News | Stupid News | Unadulterated News | Voodoo News
Market Buoyancy / Disruptive Edge Statement:
Often manipulated by corporate, government, and special interest groups, the news industry typically undergoes antagonistic reviews from public scrutiny, and due to those ongoing activities, a critical lack of trust has developed and even strengthened over past decades. Additionally, the news industry’s cable TV networks are driven by ratings, and so, for each network to maintain a competitive edge, often erratic decisions are made internally, predisposing networks to relentless censure and conflict. Considering the above-mentioned, it’s understandable why ideas like ATSATN would fill a critical void. Particularly by affording the public a means in which to vent their points of view. Any prospective owner(s) of the ATSATN idea will understand the volatility that encompasses the news industry and will ultimately benefit from acquiring the idea and launching the service for public consumption.
