Below is a preface to a rare 100-quote manuscript that chronicles the 2008 presidential election campaigns. Similar to the flashpoint that ignited President Obama’s political campaign and all the incredible energy that surrounded it, the author believes that Kamala Harris‘ 2024 campaign will be comparable to Obama’s and therefore decided to post the content in hopes that it may inspire some creative humor for the elections ahead, particularly in that more young folk might be interested in voting and ultimately making a trip to the polling stations for the upcoming general elections.
Preface as follows:
In honor of the 2008 primary and general presidential elections of Barack Hussein Obama II and Joseph Robinette “Joe” Biden Jr., the author of the manuscript and magnum opus incorporated an amusing, cartoonish depiction of the elections using 100 quotes.
Two fictional animal-type characters described as HARD-HOOFS and SWIFT-HOOFS were used to depict President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, the Democratic Party’s ingenious political donkeys.
Given as a sign of props, the character name “HARD-HOOFS” originated from the author’s view of Barack Obama’s skills as a brilliant political strategist. Particularly in light of his uncanny ability to allow a multitude of criticisms to roll off his back. Hard-Hoofs’ response to criticism always lay in his oratorical brilliance, which often caused his opponents to become either confused, annoyed, infuriated, tongue-tied, or worse, speechless. It became effectively known as Barack Obama’s “oratorical knockout blow.” Hence the witty, cartoonish, presidential character, Hard-Hoofs.
Similarly powerful, Barack Obama’s running mate, Joe Biden, earned the name SWIFT-HOOFS for his uncanny ability to turn political opponents’ stories around in the blink of an eye, making them and their debates and rebuttals appear disingenuous, distorted, and seemingly fabricated.
It’s chapter 5 from a manuscript of self-help quotes that’s been dormant for many years. And yes, it’s for sale, provided that the right offer is made. We’re talking donkeys and elephants here, so serious inquiries only, please.
