Brilliant, and a timeless voters’ lesson.

Perhaps a poignant reason to vote is that somewhere in a small village in South Africa, a grandma was steadfast in her decision to vote and didn’t mind getting to the polls using a wheelbarrow as her source of transportation.
So, if Grandma doesn’t mind traveling to the polls in something so uncomfortable as a wheelbarrow, then why would you or I mind getting to the polls in cars, trucks, buses, and planes? As registered voters in America, we should really consider the consequences of not voting. Likewise, we should always exercise caution about the candidates we are voting for because, as the adage goes, “elections have consequences.” In politics, America will often find itself at the crossroads. It’s up to her citizens to determine whether they want to travel back in time. That is to say, do Americans want to go back to a time when the country failed to live up to the equitable ideals imagined by its founders, or do they want to help craft 21st-century policies that will create a brighter future for all of the country’s citizens?
