What makes journalism so funny yet obnoxious at the same time is that journalists are probing and snitching about everything. As one might imagine, it’s hard for journalists to keep their mouths shut because the desire for higher ratings afflicts the industry with such intensity that for journalists to keep their mouths shut is like figuratively committing suicide. Likewise, journalists are sometimes willing to cannibalize each other for the sake of preserving the industry’s anonymous source traditions, which, oddly enough, might be a good thing.
