What makes journalism so funny yet obnoxious at the same time is that journalists are probing and snitching about everything. It’s hard for any journalist to keep their mouths shut because the desire for better ratings afflicts the industry with such intensity that to keep one’s mouth shut is like figuratively committing suicide. And journalists are sometimes willing to cannibalize each other for the sake of preserving the industry’s sort of tell-all traditions, which oddly enough might be a good thing.
