There have been estimates of $1.4 to $6 trillion in reparations owed to African Americans. I wonder if Elon Musk’s net worth will ever top those figures? Needless to say, the media doesn’t mind boasting about Mr. Musk’s astronomical net worth, now does it?
Slavery in America was abolished more than a century and a half ago. Despite the 1865 abolishment, African Americans have been adversely affected by the vestiges of slavery. Some notable long-term effects have been systemic racism, symbolism of slavery, and the notorious wealth gap. I hate to be transfixed on cultural concerns that the mainstream media tend to neglect, but how often do we Negroes stop to observe the lack of enthusiasm the media exhibits toward the coverage of the harm slavery has caused African Americans? Nor is the media excited about promoting books, going on national speaking tours, or pleading any case for our nation’s atonement of slavery, most notably, reparations. Nonetheless, the media doesn’t mind firing as many African American anchors as it can to either mitigate or stifle discussion around the African American (Black) plight.
Since the rise of radical Trumpism, the mainstream media, whether liberal or otherwise, has used that dynamic to purge strong, smart, and opinionated Negro anchors from its racist and biased systems. In contrast, the media has likely stepped up its support for America’s H-1B visa program. Largely due to the program’s broad submissive visa-holding community, it provides the media with a sense of contentment and ease of mind that no Negro, anchor or otherwise, could ever offer the media to help fulfill its secret missions. Think about it. The media may get access to some of the program’s brightest technology talent. Initiatives such as software development, electronic surveillance, and hacking to buttress investigative journalism or to circumvent privacy laws come with far fewer risks now. Creating divisions, facilitating culture wars, and keeping adversarial Negroes in check have all of a sudden gotten a lot easier for America’s “corrupt media.”
