The gist of this humor: stamp annie thing dies, the doting die-maker, Annie Kelly, with Google’s help, apparently wants to repurpose the trademark leafBuilder. Accordingly, stamp annie thing dies and Google have involuntarily partnered on a quest to rebrand stamp annie thing dies with leafBuilder, a brand that has nothing to do with dies, nor this weird stamp annie thing, thing.
Judging by the images used for this post the story goes something like below:
Stamp annie thing dies thinks to herself, but I don’t want to be stamp annie thing dies, I want to be the spunky die-maker who relishes in leafBuilder dies. But wait a minute, leafBuilder has nothing to do with dies. Why am I so attracted to leafBuilder in that I can’t admire my own creation, “stamp annie thing dies.” I get it, this is all nuts! It’s in my nature to behave this way. I can’t help myself. Stamp annie thing dies sounds ridiculous! leafBuilder is what I want, and Google’s search engine is going to help me GET IT! I’m going to add the word “leafBuilder” with a hyphen in my URL likewise [ http://stampanniething.com/leaf-builder-dies/ ] and then STAMP ANNIE THING DIES will become stamp annie thing dies, leafBuilder. It’s Genius! Now maybe that idiot who invented leafBuilder will go away so that I can be stamp annie thing dies in peace. THANK YOU Google for making this a dream come true. Stamp annie thing dies is now the Queen of ALL dies. Hail — to queen of dies.
I know, it’s a buffoon’s story, but Google and Annie Kelly can’t seem to dissociate the phrase leafBuilder from stamp annie thing dies, leaving me no choice but to make a mockery of stamp annie thing dies.
What inspired this post: I corresponded with Annie Kelly, the owner of [stamp annie thing dies] back on 11/25/2020, particularly about removing the phrase “leafBuilder” from any URLs on her die services site, and she stated she would, but it appears the only thing she managed to do was create a redirection link that obscures the original URL, wherein Google’s search engine can still exploit the trademark leafBuilder to produce search results for Annie Kelly’s dies. It’s called White privilege, Google looking out for its own.
