Brilliant metaphor
Its Acronym: ATSATN
Neologism DBA: Uhsätin
Trade name: “all things STUPID about the news”
And by the way, social media giants, you can’t say I didn’t warn you.
There are 40 million reasons why the public can’t go wrong with an unorthodox news monitoring and censuring service. The idea “all things STUPID about the news” (ATSATN) has a realistic potential of evolving into an advertising mecca where rants about the news would be seen and heard from all corners of the globe. For good reasons, it’s an idea that likely concerns news industry tycoons.
Moreover, who defines unreasonable cost? Is there actually a limit on cost when the tradeoff is that the public may find a remedy for confronting deceptive news and get some much-needed peace of mind? It’s hard to put a value on “peace of mind.” Yet there are cohorts and entities who’d be compelled to. Why? Because they personally don’t like the idea. They wish it would go away.
