“A Friday night political program that airs in prime” (About Spectrum News)
I believe America’s mainstream media continues to discriminate against heterosexual Black male journalists by not awarding them news anchor contracts in prime time TV slots. Hence out of personal celebration and appreciation, I decided to highlight Errol’s new Spectrum broadcast in hopes that it gets the kinds of reviews and recognition Errol deserves for his outstanding contribution to journalism over the years. I particularly like Errol’s reporting style because it doesn’t appear he’s allowed corporate media to minionize him in such a way that whatever comes out of his mouth seems so annoyingly structured that one’s immediate instinct is to either change the channel or turn off the television.
Remember, Errol is on Spectrum each Friday. I’m encouraging you to show him some love by watching, listening, and learning a few things that may be affecting you and your families outside of what you may deem to be “repetitive, not applicable to you and your families, go-to-hell politics.'” On the contrary, we see you, Errol, along with the handful of other heterosexual Black male journalists who’ve been given a sliver of a chance by the media to showcase their journalistic prowess and truths. Rock on!
