Sports: Young Black Men Let’s Be Realistic
Perhaps the numbers are anachronistic, but Dr. Kunjufu’s message is still timeless.
Black men, we have a strong presence in sports and entertainment but are not limited by those attributes alone. Let’s get behind our sons and show them more of the Silas Adekunle’s of the world. “Rise to who you are.”
As opposed to owning too many shiny objects [i.e., jewelry, cars, boats, planes, etc.], learning initiatives like “The Hidden Genius Project” is where we ought to consider investing our hard-earned dollars. Exhibiting our cultural intelligence on the world stage is critical.
