A CNN article predicts a bleak future for the traditional news industry. In part, it reads, “Audiences that once reliably surfed traditional cable channels and consumed news websites or newspapers are instead absorbing content and spending time on platforms such as TikTok and Netflix, leading to massive declines in ratings and traffic. That shift in behavior has led brands to spend their marketing in emerging digital arenas, particularly given their ability to offer advertisers powerful tools to target audiences with precision.”
The beauty of building an “all things STUPID about the news” (ATSATN) platform is that on TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), Netflix, Yahoo, or any other platform where the news is being disseminated, ATSATN will deploy an unorthodox strategy to target the news and censure it in any digital or offline environment where content is considered to be “news.”
