In this 21st century of technological sophistication, exuberance, and aggressive snooping on private citizens, privacy concerns have become a pressing issue across various cultures, demographics, and paradigms. These paid corporate, government, and/or lone wolf “hacks” want to know everything from what citizens are eating, who’s in their beds, what they enjoy on television, their financial and medical statuses, and what they’re either buying or viewing on the internet, just to name a few things. CREEPS! It’s disgusting!
It’s why we may want to support organizations like the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) and The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in that they could help stem the onslaught on privacy by large corporations, various governments, and individuals that has gotten completely out of control. We should also encourage these defenders of privacy and reputation abuse to vigorously promote diversity and inclusion at the highest levels of their senior ranks.
