A lot to learn here. Read the header image, media!
Don’t forget, the American media has been talking down to Black audiences for decades. Fast-track to the 21st century, 2025. Who owns the Black narrative? Why? I’d have you know that controlling the Black narrative is a form of modernized bondage in and of itself. Let’s stop pretending that it’s not.
Building a robust American cable TV news network that conjoins every Black nation on God’s beautiful green and blue planet will help to rein in the broader Black narrative. Some effects and comparisons as follow:
The difference between a “Black National News Network” (BN3) and America’s mainstream media is how the news would be prioritized and broadcast across cable, satellite, and streaming TV displays. For example, a Black audience may not want to wake up to images and sounds of wars in West Asia or the Middle East but maintains more dire concerns about famine in African countries where the U.S. has pulled critical aid. Likewise, heterosexual Black male and female anchors would be proportionate to Black colleagues from the LGBTQ community. Even more important is that the news network remains unadulterated, free of famous anchor syndrome, and highly relevant to a global Black audience.
In closing, my elementary and abrasive way of thinking and conveying my truths and opinions to those that find them useful is apposite, precise, and a sanctioned necessity considering the hostile environments and socioeconomic conditions under which most Black people live today. Black people need to control their own mainstream narrative. It can form a direct line to building and maintaining Black wealth. But most importantly, hone in on issues that are highly relevant to the broader Black community.
