Depending on the circumstances, when you treat people and things differently based on outward appearances, friendly influences, or corruption, at some point it will catch up with you and expose either your cowardice, biases, or inability to do the right thing. Then, gradually, you become a nobody in the eyes of those who’ve been offended. Some of those eyes, irrespective of how small they appear, may affect shared visions of immense gravity and magnitude. All things considered, it’s best to just do the right thing.
