A Civil Rights Icon Is Called Home
John Robert Lewis – Born February 21, 1940 | Died July 17, 2020.
Your work on earth has been extraordinary, sir. You are in the minority of true humanitarians and statesmen. Now it’s time to rest the facilities God had given you to meet your earthly obligations, as the Keeper of the Pearly Gates now awaits your arrival. Ding-dong! ding-dong! ding-dong! John Lewis, civil rights icon, arriving!
Shown above with John Lewis, center left of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., another prominent civil-rights figure was called home by our Lord on the same day Congressman Lewis passed away, and he was the reverend C.T. Vivian. Both men were a part of Dr. King’s inner cabinet.
