America’s mainstream media is not merely powerful because of the stories that it tells. It’s powerful because it maintains conspicuous, inappropriate, and/or hidden relationships with some of our nation’s most powerful corporate and government entities, and those entities, depending on the circumstances, may use their offices and facilities to spy on you.
In turn, that spying-collected material could include data not limited to personal identifiable information (PII), lifestyle video footage, or other private information that may be used to either blackmail you, embarrass you, put on the dark web, and/or shared with America’s crooked media and its unscrupulous cable TV or broadcast TV advertising partners, whereby you could become their next news story should you unfortunately get on the “bad side” of the U.S. government, the mainstream media, or their closely related advertising partners.
Getting on their bad side usually means you’ll likely be secretly targeted, antagonized, and slowly transformed into a beleaguered human being if you fail to understand the dire circumstances occurring around you and how to mitigate them. Your unpopular political beliefs, pastimes, all sorts of biases, racism, classism, sexism, and a whole host of other “isms” may galvanize synergies that may manifest into a bad side situation.
Likewise, perhaps unbeknownst to you, America’s mainstream media is not an independent press but, as I see it, a loose extension of our nation’s eyes and ears, primarily for the intelligence community. Therefore, conventional wisdom might tell reasonably intelligent people that America’s mainstream media is merely a colossal spy agency.
And finally, because of bad actors, organized crime, corporate, and government interests, today Americans are living in an aggressive privacy exploitation and information age where law-abiding citizens not only have to be mindful of their behavior and activities in public but also within the close confines of their own homes.
