Decades of biased news reporting and what could be construed as racist and discriminatory hiring practices by the mainstream media have brought about and nurtured a “social stigma” around Black culture in both America and abroad.
Prudent Questions: (1) What’s wrong with Black America having a dedicated Black-owned and operated national news network with an international reach equivalent to that of CNN, Fox, MSNBC, and Telemundo? (2) What’s the fear in Black America categorically controlling its own narrative through such a network and that of its extended culture?
I’d imagine it’s hard to imagine that the U.S. mainstream media was suddenly owned and controlled by Black people, where White people would be forced to endure on a daily basis the ethnocultural and sales strategies of Black people, and whereby Black people would impart to White people the importance of staying together as a country. For the powers that be: now, see how that sounds? Ridiculous, right? Let’s fix the ethnic and cultural equitability issues that afflict cable and broadcast journalism in America and keep the country moving forward.
For Allen Media Group: I understand that your company won’t entertain outside ideas, but acquiring and/or licensing out the copyright and business name “Black National News Network” (BN3) to replace the “Black News Channel” branding would be a brilliant move. The acronym and name “BN3” will accentuate the branding of Black-originated news, both in terms of name appeal and market designation pending any country the brand is allowed to serve.
