As the word suggests in “All things STUPID about the news,” I admit, I feel so stupid! Why? It’s because I didn’t acquire John’s intellectual property and launch that unorthodox news monitoring and “censuring” venture. John’s $25 million asking price would’ve been a drop in the bucket in hindsight. I allowed my arrogance and biases to get in the way of shrewd deal-making. And not to mention all the ill-advised dissuasion against acquiring his intellectual property.
Now, what used to be social media icons [i.e., Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Myspace, etc.] are merely chopped liver for the news industry to make a mockery of, and there’s no trump card such as All things STUPID about the news to soften the fall. Boy, the news industry played us social media giants like a fiddle, and now Congress and its news industry puppets are laughing all the way to the bank.
