On February 7, 2023, President Joe Biden delivered a brilliant State of the Union Address. The speech, which was columned on an “optimistic, hopeful, and forward-looking” message, carried a highly persuasive tone rooted in unity and national progress. In my opinion, President Biden has categorically proved to the American public that he has the right mindset, stamina, and leadership qualities to be elected for a second term. Ageism ought not to be a factor if an individual is fully up to the task, and President Biden has demonstrated with a clear-eyed faculty that he is.
On the other hand, during the speech, the Republican Party’s outbursts, mocking behaviors, and angry vitriol, along with Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ rebuttal, tend to promote a strategy that suppresses American history, rolls back human rights, and conceals itself behind what may be considered extremist views by the “Centre-left.” The Republican Party, overall, did not set a good example for its caucus.
“Let’s finish the job,” America. —President Joe Biden
