Let’s remove the Cultural Pigeonhole:

When we’re not imagined to be, viewed as, or taught to be builders, then why on God’s earth would any distinctions be conferred upon our names? Fundamentally, we’ve always been builders. However, we may never reinvigorate that distinction in the minds of our racial peer groups unless we reverse the harmful effects of the historical bondage that keeps us trapped, which means to rid ourselves of those centuries-old biases, racist labels, and stereotypical descriptions that have helped transform us into how we’re perceived today. It’s time to unnerve all those oppressors and haters and debunk those myths about us not being builders but merely followers, consumers, and peevish taxpayers. A big part of meeting the challenge of changing the negative perception about us not being builders is to first change our own mindsets about who we categorically are.
