An ancient warrior once said, ‘make your enemies understand your strength is so remarkable that to merely see it cast doubts on whether it’s a wise idea to confront it.'”
So, on behalf of those old “Negro Spirituals,” what are we doing to support our cultural strength against the evils of oppression? If we’re not sunshine, then it’s safe to presume we’re an element of darkness. Under this rationale, there’s no such thing as living in a vacuum; accordingly, indifference virtually does not exist. All it takes to be a change agent is to pick up our ancestors’ torches and walk.
