“Unchecked corporate power: By 2024, more than 80 percent of private-sector, nonunion workers will be subject to forced arbitration clauses, according to a report from EPI and the Center for Popular Democracy. Emboldened by the Supreme Court’s 2018 Epic Systems v. Lewis decision, corporations will likely increase their use of forced arbitration clauses to deny workers the right to fight wage theft, discrimination, or harassment in court. The report’s authors urge Congress to override Epic Systems by passing the Restoring Justice for Workers Act and the Forced Arbitration Repeal Act.” — Economic Policy Institute
