Befittingly enough, no industry is better at filtering, promoting, and profiting off hate and division than that of America’s mainstream media. To the contrary, the industry might have the public believe its principal interest is to disseminate meaningful news, when in fact, the industry’s core interest is to increase its ratings and bottom lines for the explicit purposes of remaining an influential powerhouse in the vast world of convoluted politics. America’s mainstream media, its news media in particular, is an industry that thrives on shocking events, conflict, seductive journalism, and any human demises of public interest it endeavors to cover.
