Under the auspices of consumerism, why do we invest so much money in flashy objects that stroke our egos rather than collectively investing in essential infrastructure that helps to shelter us and distinguishes us in terms of cultural identity and innovations? Likewise, in this 21st century, why are we not proactively pooling our extraordinary intellectual and monetary powers on an unprecedented scale? I will reiterate the fact that we are often culturally mocked and laughed at while bankrolling and enriching dominant external cultures. Considering the history of our country, the remnants of slavery, and ongoing systems and practices of oppression, we are in urgent need of the following facilities and services across all large metropolitan areas as a starting point for the new blueprint of black reconstruction in America:
1. Well organized, safe and reliable food production, storage, distribution, retail, and eatery facilities
2. Well organized, safe and robust healthcare facilities (“types of health care facilities“)
3. Personal care services and facilities
4. Uncorrupted police unions, policing services and facilities backed by the U.S. federal and local governments
5. Uncorrupted banking facilities and services
6. Constructive religions, spiritual guidance, and leadership facilities (God, family, and work – GFAW)
7. Formal educational institutions (HBCUs reinforced)
8. Vocational job training facilities
9. Housing, new neighborhood planning and development facilities
10. Gun retailers with highly robust inventory of firearms, ammunition, and accessories; licensing, professional gunsmith services, and training facilities (to defend against domestic terrorism, any mass acts of violent civil disobedience where property and life become threatened, and/or insurgent warfare on U.S. soil as a result of unmanageable foreign policy threats)
11. Public transportation facilities and services
12. Entertainment facilities for kids and adults
Note: Please keep in mind that this post is intended for highly educated, culturally aware and/or connected, and affluent black people with leadership tendencies. It’s not for illiterate, less privileged, or selfish black people to either understand or care about because it would be rather difficult for them to rationalize the historical and ongoing effects of what’s been previously mentioned.
