Another resounding—
Do something, Washington!
Whether you’re a Democrat, Republican, or Independent, the alarming rate at which Black babies and their maternal mothers are dying in America’s hospitals is disturbing. So much so in that pockets of Black culture all across America, at kitchen tables, in barbershops, at hair and nail salons, and other traditional conversational spaces are alluding to the notion that America’s healthcare system, which has historically been viewed by Black Americans as a racist corporate/institution, is systematically lynching pregnant Black women and their babies—either during the course of childbirth and/or during postnatal care—whereby incompetence or negligent healthcare attributions are cited to cloak the inherit nature of what had actually occurred. All things considered, racism and biases of all kinds are rooted in America’s flourishing healthcare system.
