About Shock Value News Content On Social Media

[HELLO!] As it concerns any “disseminating of genuine news,” I see no drastic differences between social media and traditional news sources and their strategies to hook readership. Both of these industries are promoting shock value content that’s allowed to fester on their platforms. And according to America’s news industry and government [most notably the federal government], social media addiction and hostile environments have plagued social media/networking platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. Quite frankly, do we expect a well-informed public to believe this entirely?

In reminding yourself that the news industry is no better than social media protecting viewers from shock value content, grab an “all things STUPID about the news” tee and wear it often. For silent protesting, graphic tees can be excellent mediums. Or, grab a fun “social media addict” tee following the censuring of Facebook by mainstream news media and the U.S. government for getting teenagers addicted to its Instagram services.
